Μετα την κακήν κακώς ακύρωση των δυο εμφανίσεων του James Blunt στην Αθήνα, ήρθε η εξής ανακοίνωση:
James Blunt was really looking forward to playing in Athens. He was welcomed by the Greek people with great warmth, but was devastated when the authorities closed the venue down for what are now evidently dubious reasons. Thousands of people paid for tickets, time off work, travel, hotels and babysitters to see this concert. It was these people who the mayor or whomever made this decision has let down. The fact that the venue opened only a few days later indicates negligence at the least, and corruption at the worst. Furthermore, foreign musicians will be less likely to come to the country and honest music lovers will be more nervous of buying tickets as a result. James would like to thank the people who so openly welcomed him into Athens, and express his great regret that they were let down in this way. He hopes he will be invited to visit again under more successful conditions.
